Hello everyone,

For our May ASHRAE meeting our guest speaker Allen Anaya will be delivering their presentation on: Heat Pump Optimization.

We will take a high-level view of today’s Air Source Unitary Packaged Heat world from standards to applications and how we can effectively contribute to the Decarbonization movement by acquiring a better understanding of how Heat Pumps can be properly applied without simply moving emissions from one source to another.

About the Speaker

Allen Anaya has over 35 years of HVAC experience from AHU manufacturing to product installation and operation. He received two years of education from Texas Tech University, but the majority of his knowledge comes from studying ASHRAE standards and the school of hard knocks. Allen currently works as the Regional Fundamentals and Systems Educator for Varitec Solutions. Since 1990, Allen has worked for various HVAC manufacturers and spent 23 years as a Sales Engineer for WM Carroll and Varitec Solutions. Allen continues to be actively involved with ASHRAE at the local level, as he enjoys sharing his vast experience of product design and real-life field experience with air handling systems and HVAC system fundamentals. When not working through HVAC system issues and challenges, Allen enjoys travel and golf.
