Presentation Info

The presentation provides an introduction to energy recovery ventilation technology, key terminologies,
and the code requirements for energy recovery in buildings. In addition to providing the benefits of
using energy recovery ventilators such as improved indoor air quality and reduced energy costs, the
presentation also provides attendees with key design considerations that need to be taken into
consideration when integrating ERV’s into HVAC systems. Finally attendees are able to get a better
understanding on the variety of building types from actual projects that have effectively incorporated
ERV’s to improve indoor air quality and reduce energy consumption.

Speaker Bio

 Nishant Kanapilly is a Product Manager with RenewAire.  Nishant has over 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Prior to RenewAire he was a consulting engineer and specialized in the analysis, design and construction of energy efficient systems on a wide range of project types both in the United States and Internationally.
He holds an MBA degree from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business, a Master in Science in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Botswana. He is also a Certified Energy Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a regular presenter at many national conferences and is a guest lecturer at the School of Architecture at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
