Topic: Case Studies in Ethics

Presentation Summary: Four case studies from the National Society of Professional Engineers will be presented and discussed for a total of 2 professional development hours. The current status of professional licensure in the US will also be presented.
Speaker Bios:
Joe Higham, PE, MBA, has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineer from The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Master of Business Administration from The University of New Mexico. He is a Past President of the New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers, a Past President of the New Mexico Chapter of ASHRAE, and currently serves on the Board of Governors of the New Mexico Chapter of ASHRAE. Mr. Higham is a recipient of the ASHRAE Chapter Service Award and the ASHRAE Developing Leader Award. He is the Branch Manager of ThermAir Systems in Albuquerque.
Stacey Chan, PE, LEED AP BD+C, has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. She currently serves as the President of the New Mexico Chapter of ASHRAE. Ms. Chan is an engineering consultant at Bridgers and Paxton.
Frederick Earnest has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from The New Mexico State University. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the New Mexico Chapter of ASHRAE. Mr. Earnest is a sales engineer at Varitec Solutions in Albuquerque.
