Come join us for our October ASHRAE meeting where our guest speaker, Harold Trujillo, will be covering the required building code and electric vehicle requirements needed for the green tax credits. He will also review the Inflation Reduction Act (Direct Pay program) which can help fund many energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. We look forward to seeing you there.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS - 42 years’ work with energy efficiency and renewable energy

  • Participated in adoption of 7 New Mexico Energy Building Codes since 1983 and coordinated adoption of the Green Building Code for City of Santa Fe in in 2009.
  • Administered the implementation of the Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit that led to the installation of over 1 Gigawatt of utility scale wind and solar farms.
  • Administered the Public Buildings Energy Efficiency and Water Conservation Act that has led to the implementation of over $350 million of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in public facilities in NM in the last 10 years.

Past President of the New Mexico ASHRAE Chapter.

Past Chairman of ASHRAE’ National Technical Committee on Energy Resources.

Education and Licenses

Received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University in June 1972. Is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of New Mexico and California and is a NM Licensed contractor.

Awards

New Mexico Professional Engineer of the Year 2024.

Recognized as a Legend in Energy by the National Association of Energy Engineers in 2007

Inducted into the Hall of Fame of the New Mexico Association of Energy Engineers in 2006
